1. The price per ticket is $100.00, payable by check (made out to San Mar Children’s Home) and mailed to 8504 Mapleville Road, Boonsboro, MD 21713. We also accept Visa/MasterCard by phone or email.
   
   
2. The tickets will be collected in the order received. Checks will be deposited upon receipt. Checks that are returned for insufficient funds or other reasons will disqualify the ticket.
   
   
3. All payment must be received prior to the end of business on March 10, 2008.
   
   Because the minimum ticket sales (5,000) was reached on March 10, and it was determined that the raffle would be held Thursday, March 13, rather than being extended into May, tickets can still be purchased via the internet until noon Thursday, March 13. The maximum number that can be sold is still 7,000. No prizes will be awarded until payment is cleared.
   
   
4. The maximum number of tickets that will be sold is 7,000. Ticket sales will cease when that number is reached, and any checks received following the cutoff will be returned to the sender. If all tickets are sold the odds of winning one of the 5 prizes offered would be 1 in 1,400, subject to the conditions stated below.
   
   
5. All prizes are subject to, and the Winners are fully responsible for federal, state and local income taxes. San Mar Children’s Home has no responsibility for the payment of any taxes associated with the prizes.
   
   
6. Winner(s) must accept ownership of the prize(s) within 6 weeks from date of drawing or forfeit the prizes(s).
   
   
7. The Winner of the Grand Prize will be responsible for all real property taxes and assessments accruing after the date of closing, and all federal, state and local income taxes associated with the receipt of the prize by the Winner for tax purposes of income equal to the fair market value of the Home.
   
   
8. Winners of the second, third, fourth and fifth place prizes are responsible for any federal, state and local taxes associated with the receipt of a prize.
   
   
9. There shall be no substitution for the listed prizes by the Winner(s).
   
   
10. The $100.00 ticket price is not deductible for income tax purposes as a charitable deduction.
    
    
11. San Mar Children’s Home reserve the right in the event that 5000 tickets have not been sold by March 10, 2008, to extend the project 65 days, with the drawing to be held May 15, 2008. If by that date, 5000 tickets have not been purchased, San Mar Children’s Home reserves the right to cancel the above listed prizes and return the purchase price of the ticket to the ticket holders, minus a 1% processing fee.
    
    
12. San Mar Children’s Home will convey the property to the Grand Prize Winner by general warranty deed free and clear of all liens, encumbrances and easements and restrictions of record and applicable zoning laws and regulations. Closing services will be provided by Realty Title.
    
    
13. Winner(s) need not be present to win.
    
    
14. Participants must be 18 or older to enter the raffle and be eligible for prizes.
    
    
15. Prizes are not transferable.
